Built in 1937, The Lodge at Red Rock conveys a deep sense of history. Its original guests were paper mill executives enjoying rustic luxury in a pristine wilderness getaway in northwestern Ontario. Days spent fishing, exploring and hunting were followed by evenings relaxing by the campfire or the massive stone fireplace, with breathtaking views of Lake Superior and the starry night sky as a backdrop. Today, that same authentic atmosphere of retreat and discovery continues to be savoured by people from around the world and from the neighbouring communities of Nipigon and Red Rock, Ontario.
Our cozy lodge offers seven rustic rooms, each a haven of comfort and charm. After exhilarating adventures in the wilderness, return to the warmth of crackling fires and snug accommodations. For more information about each room, go to The Rooms.
Built with timber from the surrounding boreal forest, The Lodge at Red Rock offers the cozy, north woods atmosphere of a log cabin, combined with a spacious 4,000-square-foot layout and plenty of natural light. Sip a drink in a comfortable chair, challenge a friend to a game of cards or simply contemplate the play of sunlight on the water.
The dining area also has large windows framing water views—the perfect place to enjoy homestyle breakfast and dinners by our in-house cook.
Step out onto the porch overlooking the lake or join your companions at the campfire. Our wood-fired sauna is an excellent way to rejuvenate after a day spent on the water or the land.
